Eliza M. Cave Memorial Scholarship

The Eliza M. Cage Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Eliza Myers Cave. She was an educator in Allendale County Schools for over thirty years and resided in Barnwell County for most of her life. She believed her work as an educator was a way to help others and service to others was fundamental to what we are all called to do. 


Criteria

  • Graduating Senior from Barnwell High School or Allendale-Fairfax High School
  • Planning to major in Education or an education related major
  • Will attend an accredited two or four-year college or university
  • List of volunteer and extracurricular activities during high school career
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • 250-word essay: Describe how your experiences perspectives, talents, participation in extracurricular activities and/or your involvement in leadership activities (school, job, community, or within your family) will help you make an impact while in college.
  • Letter of Recommendation from someone (excluding family) who can attest to service to others 


Submission

  1. Completed and Signed Application
  2. Copy of High School Transcript
  3. Essay
  4. Letter of Recommendation
